Landhaus Ruusenhüs stands on a quiet side street in Rantum, between the dunes and the Wadden Sea. The beach and village centre are a short walk away.
The house has five apartments furnished in Frisian style. Depending on the apartment, you have a south-facing terrace or a spot in the rose garden.

Good to know
All apartments are non-smoking, and pets are not permitted. Each has a kitchen with a dishwasher, a TV and a traditional hooded beach chair on the terrace or in the rose garden.
Rantum and
the island.
Both the North Sea and the Wadden Sea are within walking distance of Rantum. Paths along the dunes and the shore offer routes for walks and bike rides.
Getting here
By car
From Hamburg, follow the A7 north to the Flensburg/Harrislee exit. Take the B199 towards Leck and then the B5 to Niebüll. Follow the signs for the car-train terminal to Sylt.
The car train carries you and your vehicle across the Hindenburg causeway to Westerland. From there, drive south to Rantum. Our address is Raanwai 24, formerly Alte Dorfstraße. Check the operator’s website for timetables, tickets and boarding information.
By train
Your destination station is Westerland (Sylt). The railway runs from Hamburg through Heide, Husum and Niebüll to the island. Depending on where you start, you can travel directly or change trains along the way.
From Westerland station, continue to Rantum by bus or taxi. Enter “Westerland (Sylt)” as your destination in the journey planner and check connections for your travel date.
By plane
You can fly directly to Sylt Airport near Westerland. Departure airports and flight days vary by season; the airport’s website has the current flight schedule.
Continue to Rantum by taxi or hire car. It is a good idea to arrange your onward journey before travelling.
